Frequently Asked Questions

How many people in Ramat Eshkol really need tzedaka?

If only the case was that not so many people need help... The fact is that every year we get more and more people who turn to us, asking for assistance. These people can be- actually these people are- your friends, neighbors, and people in your Shul. Let us daven that in the zechus of giving tzedaka, Mashiach should come and we won't have anyone to give to anymore!

If I need monetary help, how would I go about getting it?

There are a few ways that you can reach out to the Kuppaa and receive assistance. One of the best ways is to speak to your Rav. Alternatively, you can send an email to reshkol2017@gmail.com and someone will answer you Be'ezras Hashem. Also, we offer a lot of programs and discounts which are advertised publicly. Feel free to take advantage of them!

How do I know that my money is going to go to the right places?

We were zoche, and continue to be zoche to a lot of Siata Dishmaya in what we do at the kuppa. One of the main reasons for this may be that we do everything al pi daas Torah. All the money is allocated on the advise of the Rav's if not directly through them. In addition, nobody who works for the kuppa takes a salary. The organization and work needed to upkeep and grow the kuppa is all done by a handful of really devoted  Avreichim along with the help of hundreds of gabbaim

How come I don't know of anyone getting money from the kuppa?

At Kuppat Hashchuna Ramat Eshkol we take pride in our standards of utmost confidentiality. You will almost never know of someone getting help unless that someone is you. More important than helping someone monetarily, is making sure that someone gets to keep his dignity.

Are the various sales (meat, chicken, challah, daled minim etc.) only for people struggling to make ends meet?

The various sales that we organize weekly and throughout the year are for everyone. Whether you help the kuppa with your donations, benefit from the kuppa through, or anywhere in-between. The kuppa was set up to enhance our lives. If you want to take part, then be our guests!

Is there a limit to how much I'm allowed to donate- I want to give everything I can!

While we understand that you might want to give away all of your money to KuppaRamatEshkol, we suggest talking it over with your Rav before giving more than 20%.
